Here is the agenda -Download PDF - for the Feb 10th Council meeting. The whole agenda package, including reports, is not yet on the city web site. So, I don't have a lot of information on details, but based on the issues listed on the agenda, here are my top three things to know about:
1) McArthur Island Sports Field Update: if you use the island on a regular or occassional basis, you may want to find out present and future plans for the fields.
2) Sustainable Kamloops Committee Minutes: an update on what has been happening with this mammoth city planning process. Reports from the Sept 18th and December 11th meetings. A good read for those concerned with the state of our local environment.
3) Kevin Ortner Presents on Downtown Community Gardens: another citizen sustainability initiative. We will see how city staff respond to this one.
